Following several years negotiating for the UK Government in the Trade Policy area in both Commission and Council Working Groups, John Eastmead worked at the UK's Civil Service College (now NSG) for 10 years where his experience involved the adaptation and delivery of European training to individual departments and agencies including:

Within Government John was also responsible for the training of the European Fast Stream on behalf of the Cabinet Office, and over the years developed special training packages for the various Institutional competitions and for the development of Brussels-specific networking and lobbying skills.
